Cybersecurity

The Higher Professional Technician in Cybersecurity is a technician with specialized training, with strong skills in the areas of systems, networks and IT security. In particular, the skills acquired will enable them to design, implement and manage infrastructures, network services and systems, in order to make them more secure, as well as to install, manage and use cybersecurity services and systems and to intervene first-line in the detection of and response to cybersecurity incidents, autonomously or in a team, contributing to the minimization of risk and to the optimization of processes and resources of the target organizations at the cybersecurity level.

Career Prospects

  • Coordinate daily work and requests for corrective and evolving infrastructure maintenance;
  • Verify the effective, efficient and safe operation of facilities, hardware and software;
  • Check the infrastructure to ensure that there are no anomalous situations arising from underlying problems of the infrastructure or intentional or inadvertent actions that endanger its operation, in terms of cybersecurity;
  • Check the operating conditions of the auxiliary infrastructure support services (power, communications, UPS and A/C), if they remain operational;
  • Coordinate the operations of the ICT infrastructure management process, synchronizing teams, auxiliary services and the availability of material and human resources;
  • Control and monitor the systems and associated alarmistics, through the use of control systems, ensuring agreed levels of service and the absence of known security breaches Record and document operating data, in order to ensure the traceability of the ICT management process, according to the established quality protocols;
  • Analyze and correct unforeseen situations, acting on the indicators underlying the identified deviations; Perform the procedures associated with the safety prevention standards of facilities, people, HW and SW;
  • Plan periodic checks of the infrastructure, assessing the existence and robustness of existing security controls and taking corrective measures, in order to mitigate the risk identified, and preventive measures, in order to minimize the possibility of materialization of the risk identified.

Recipients

Holders of the 12th grade or legally equivalent qualification.

CET holders, CTeSP holders or holders of a higher education degree.

Over the age of 23 – those who have passed the tests specially designed to assess capacity to attend higher education.
