ADVANCED COMPUTER RESEARCH

Overview

By the Director of ISTEC command, the Entity of Advanced Computing Research was created on January 20, 2020. It aims the development of studies and research at a high level in the context of computer and information technologies, giving priority to the most avant-garde technological and scientific aspects, and with an significant interest in the business market.

The Kriativ-Tech Magazine is associated with this Research Entity, being the entity's communication unit by its excellence. In addition to disseminating the research-oriented work developed by the researchers, it is also a forum for discussion and opinions about all issues related to the connection between information technologies and society in general. The future´s aim of this Research Unit is to be recognized and evaluated by FCT.

This Research Unit is composed by six permanent researchers, a Coordinating Researcher, a Principal Investigator and four Assistant Researchers, and may have Integrated and Invited researchers.

Integrated project for the development of Opensource framework, aiming the sensory control and learning (AI) of a Multi Functions Robot, includes sensing via infrared, laser, altitude level, voice command, voice recognition and learning processes. Programming language: Python.
